Green ideas stand for future. Even our opponents have voiced respect for the innovative concepts we set out in the Green New Deal, ideas that do equal justice to climate protection and work, to fairness and freedom. Our success in the elections in Schleswig-Holstein shows that we Greens are able to access broad new groups of voters.

In my political work in the Bundestag, I want to help attract even more voters for our party in these areas. After all, we are the ones with the most convincing facts and ideas and know how to overcome obstacles – so let us do just that!

That is a concept I have been consistently implementing for the Greens in local politics since 2005 – as Chairperson of the Environment Committee on Pinneberg County Council and as Chairperson of the Green Group on Wedel City Council. Not only that, in my energy policy work as the author of energy scenarios for the States of Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, and as Spokesperson of the Federal Working Group on Energy, I always have been and still am on the lookout for practical solutions and fellow enthusiasts. I will be adopting the same approach in my work in the Bundestag.
