I was born and grew up in Dresden. While still young, I learned to think and act politically at Unicef and within the environmental movement. I gained my first experience of transport policy themes in the movement opposing the A17 motorway from Dresden to Prague. I came to the Greens via the "Making Dresden Child-Friendly" working group in the Green Group on the City Council. Promoting the involvement of children and young people in political decisions was a priority for me back then and still is today. In my degree thesis, I dealt with youth parliaments in Saxony. I believe political participation provides a good indicator for the sustainability of our society.

With ten years of experience in local politics under my belt, most recently as Traffic Policy Spokesperson for the Green Group on the City Council, I would now like to campaign in Berlin for a fundamental turnaround in traffic policy. Oversized, expensive transport infrastructure projects, such as the Waldschlösschenbrücke in Dresden, which cost the city its UN World Heritage status, have to become a thing of the past. To make sure we invest in people's minds rather than in concrete, I also intend to help campaign for the Green Reconstruction East.
